About the panel:
The Denver Regional Council of Governments census report stated that in 2010,
2.8 million people lived in the Denver metro area — there are now 3.1 million. Housing is in high demand, rent is rising, and Denver is growing. And, this influx of growth is extremely visible via the never-ending scene of new construction across Denver. Black Cube Artist Fellow Derrick Velasquez’s ‘New Brutal’ exhibition at the Stanley Marketplace’s hangar is inspired by this new build boom in Denver.
Please join our panelists for a lively discussion on Denver’s new look and feel and its impact on culture and communities in the metro area.
Derrick Velasquez, Black Cube Artist Fellow
